Doren preparing food packages for the homeless
Born and raised in Baltimore, Far'd loves working on the Food Truck, very often as the Lead Cook. Loving its mission of caring for the poor and helping people get a new start in life, Far'd combines his love for cooking with his concern for others. Far'd is a graduate of Chef Christa's Culinary Arts class, where he fell in love with all the intricacies of cooking. He and his wife welcomed a baby girl into their home earlier this year; a welcome addition to their five other children. Far'd loves talking about the Food Truck menu and sauces, so if you have any questions, be sure to look him up.
So good to have you here, Far'd!
Hailing from Baltimore as well, Doren is no stranger to the world of cooking. Learning from his grandmother at a young age, love of food and cooking for others has always been a big part of his life. As an Assistant Food Truck manager, Doren makes sure the Truck is in tip-top shape and everything is in place so events go off without a hitch. The proud father of an infant daughter and six-year old son, family is all-important to Doren. Though not on the Food Truck menu, Doren's specialty is cooking Soul Food. He loves the mission of Plating Grace and Grub and always looks forward to helping the homeless poor. Bravo, Doren!

The Cure for FOMO
Do you know what FOMO means? In case you don’t, in modern urban/technology slang, FOMO means “fear of missing out.” Generally, it is associated with the anxiety of “missing out” on some important (or not) information shared on social media or perhaps a text or email message.
This phenomenon of FOMO can also help explain the sometimes compulsive checking of cellphones and social media accounts. It’s amazing how powerful this “fear” is in humans, which probably explains why so many people nowadays are tethered in some form to their computer, cellphone and social media accounts.
But in the world of The Table Foundation and the Plating Grace and Grub Food Truck, FOMO pertains to missing out on the incredible sauces used on the Food Truck and also available for individual purchase. They are all beyond delicious, but many people have favorites. Creamy Parisian, Latin Chimi-Fresca and Asian Island may come to mind... If you haven’t tried them yet, boy are you Missing Out! Fear not. We have the cure.
