Happy Birthday Plating Grace and Grub Food Truck!
St. Joseph the Worker has been working hard on behalf of the Plating Grace and Grub (PGG) Food Truck team this past year. As you may recall, the Food Truck was dedicated and blessed by Bishop Adam Parker, Auxiliary Bishop of Baltimore, on St. Joseph’s feast day, May 1, 2021. Here is a link to the YouTube video of the special occasion if you are interested in viewing it:
It’s hard to believe that the Food Truck has been sharing great food, grace and redemption for over a year already! For sure there have been a few bumps along the way, but for everyone involved, its success—when the failure rate for food ventures is normally quite high—is a sign of God’s loving Providence and the involvement of St. Joseph through his intercession.
Success has been measured by enthusiastic reviews of the (International Comfort) food; regular bookings of the Truck at events in Maryland and beyond; the successful graduation of formerly-incarcerated individuals on their way to a new life; the Food Truck’s signature sauces now being available in bottles for retail sale; employing veterans who have paid a high price in serving their country and countless meals served to the homeless poor in Baltimore.
Phew! It’s a lot and we’ll unpack some of these successes in other stories, but for now, join us in wishing the Plating Grace and Grub Food Truck a belated happy birthday/anniversary. Ad moltos annos!
